WebMar 31, 2024 · The ‘Flame of Hope’ recently went through Echuca for the Special Olympics. Echuca police officers and Law Enforcement Torch Run members guided the flame through the Murray region. Across the week, competitors from Echuca and Melbourne competed in swimming and bocce competitions. WebSpecial Olympics North Carolina (SONC) offers sports training and competition in 20 Olympic-type sports to nearly 40,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities. Athletes train for a minimum of eight weeks with an average 1-2 practices per week.
