Check the main alternator cable B+ (to fuse panel) for corrosion - at the connections, or even in the cable itself (green). If it is giving too much resistance then this will tell the Alt. to put out more voltage. If it's not working properly, I'd check ALL of the electrical connections on the alternator, remove and clean battery terminal connectors (and the battery too).
