WebI broke several bolt catches during break in. It turned out the bcg was traveling too far backward, then slamming back home and cracking the catch. I am glad i didn’t put a tougher one in til I figured it out, because it would have been slamming the catch into the lower instead. To check for this, put an empty mag in and lock the bolt back.

I drove out the pin for the release and took a micrometer to the bolt release and compared it to another one and it was actually .020 narrower then the one I measured. So I replaced it with the one that was wider and it took the excess slop out of it. Web4 jan. 2011 · Position the roll pin over the hole.
